OFFICIAL RULES AND GUIDELINES

Welcome to the rules & guidelines section of our website.

Please be sure you have a read through all of the rules to ensure the program is a good fit for you. Before getting into the rules, we want to ensure you know that our guidelines are here to make you better and also to ensure we are scouting real talent.

Flex Classic Model

Understanding the rules that apply to Flex Classic accounts.

Number of Trading Days

You must enter at least one trade per day for 12 days out of each month. For example, from January 1st – 31st, you must enter a new trade on at least 12 separate days. Trading days do not need to be consecutive and there is no maximum amount of trades, as long as you do not exceed your risk. If the 12 day trading minimum is not met you will not be dispersed any profits at the end of your trading cycle and your account will also be reset to the starting balance. Your account will not be reset to the starting balance if you were not in profit at the end of the trading cycle. Only executed trades count towards your trading days.

From Sunday to Friday, traders should place at least one trade on 3 separate trading days. For example, you could place a trade on Monday, Thursday and Friday. You can choose whichever days that best suit you.

For the purpose of our program, a new trading day begins at 12am of the timezone associated with your broker.
If you sign up midweek, you do not need to place 3 trades that particular week. This rule only applies on full weeks that you are enrolled with us.

Drawdown Parameters

Risk management is of the upmost importance.

You will have an allowed max daily loss (drawdown) of 5% and an allowed max overall loss (drawdown) of 10%. When calculating drawdown, we include all floating losses and profits. These drawdown parameters apply to the initial account size and are fixed, meaning they do not change day to day.

This means that if you are on a Flex Classic Model 100K account with a 5% daily max loss, your daily max loss will start at $5,000 every day at 12:00am in the time zone of your broker. If you increase the account balance to 105K in a single day, your daily max loss for that specific day will be increased to $10,000. Once we reach 12:00am in the time zone of your broker this will reset back to $5,000 regardless of account balance.

Any positions with floating draw down held over the change of day in the time zone of your broker will be carried into the next trading day

Below is a table of the available account sizes and their corresponding max daily losses and overall max loss parameters:

If either your daily max loss limit or overall max loss limit is exceeded, your account will become inactive and your trading month will end. You will still be eligible for the leaderboard for your respective block.

Risk management is of utmost importance.

Any violation of the drawdown parameters on the Elite account will result in ineligibility for further withdrawals.

Consistency

Please use the following guidelines to ensure you are using consistent risk management throughout your trading period. Should you trade within these parameters, you will not receive a flag or violation of the consistency rule. Should you trade outside of these set parameters, we will not automatically deny your payout but it will be sent to our Risk Manager to manually review. If traders are outside of these parameters but still appear to be trading consistently with skill the payout will still be approved. One of our Risk Managers may reach out to have a conversation regarding your risk and determine if the payout can be authorized.

We calculate your risk per trade by considering your stop loss. We do this so we do not have to limit lot size, because we know that lot size can change depending on your stop loss. Traders do not have to use a stop loss, but if a stop loss will not be used we can only gauge your risk using lot size.

Risk Per Trade

Risk per trade should not change by more than 20%.

Risk Per Day

Risk per day should not change by more than 20%.

Length of Trade Duration

There is no limit to how long you can hold your trade or trading style.

Number of Trades

Number of trades per day should not change by more than 20%. This is not applicable to those taking less than 3 positions.

Exposure (Drawdown Per Trade, Only for Traders Using No Stop Loss)

Your drawdown per trade should not change by more than 20%.

Lot Size (Only for Traders Using No Stop Loss)

Lot size should not change by more than 20% per trade.

Trading Behaviour

There is no gambling type of behaviour permitted in this program. Funding Talent is designed to help traders refine their strategies while also being rewarded for being successful. Our main objective is to find talent. If we notice any large increases in lot sizes or other changes that result in substantial risk we reserve the right to suspend payout. This only applies to traders taking excessive risk and displaying behaviour that does not line up with the rest of their trades.

Please see the above rule regarding consistency for further explanation.

Trading Styles

To be clear, you are allowed to use a mixture of scalping trades, swing trades, etc. as long as you are consistently doing so. There are no rules on trading styles, as long as you are trading according to live market conditions. The above reference to drastic changes in lot sizes refers to major discrepancies in lot size, risk percentage and duration of trades.

Talent Bonus (Payout)

You can be eligible for two Talent Bonuses per each trading month when trading a Flex Classic account. Talent Bonuses are what we call payouts here at Funding Talent. Your first Talent Bonus date is 14 days from the start of your trading month and your second Talent Bonus date is at the end of your trading month (28 days from your trading month start date). We consider your first trading day your sign up date, even if you do not place a trade on that day.

Talent Bonuses for Flex Classic accounts are 10% of the profits that were made on the account. As an example, if you were trading a 100k account and finished your trading month with 110k, your Talent Bonus would be $1000.

All trades must be closed by 23:59:59 on the day prior to your Talent Bonus date (using your broker’s timezone) in order to receive your Talent Bonus. Our team will contact you on your Talent Bonus date if you’re eligible for your Talent Bonus and to see which payout method you prefer.

You may continue trading your demo account and receiving your Talent Bonus, even once you’ve accessed your Elite account.

Flex Classic Elite Account (Profit Split & Broker)

The Flex Classic Elite account offers a profit split of 75/25 in your favour. All Funding Talent Elite accounts will be set up with the Funding Talent Demo server.

One Day Payout Requirement

The following payout requirement takes effect for all Elite members on August 14th at 11:59 PM EST. This means all trades taken August 1st and later will need to follow this guideline in order to withdraw on the 15th of August and onward. The next payout date on August 1st will not be affected by this change. This ultimately affects any new members who sign up from July 19th onward as reflected on the website.

The payout requirement applies only to Funding Talent Elite members who exceed $10K in profits. To be fair and considerate, active Elite or Challenge members who have signed up for Funding Talent and do not have any violations of their account will be eligible for a full refund of their most recent purchase if this payout requirement does not suit them. Any refund requests must be emailed to support by July 20th at 11:59PM EST.

Traders who accumulate half (50%) or more of their total profit amount in one day will not be eligible to withdraw at the next available payout date. For the purpose of this requirement we consider closed trades only. The payout is not denied, but deferred until each day’s profits do not exceed 50% or more of the total profit amount on the account. Once each profitable day remains within the above guidelines, the trader will be eligible to request withdrawal at the next payout date (the 1st or 15th of each month).

For example, we offer payouts on the 1st and 15th of each month. Let’s say a trader begins trading the account on the 1st of the month, and by the 14th they have accumulated $20K in profits. If $10K was earned in one trading day alone, they would not be eligible for payout on the 15th. This is because 50% of profits were made in one day. They would need to keep trading the account until more profits are accumulated, so that $10K would no longer be equivalent to half of the payout. In this case, even one dollar in profit would make them eligible at the next pay period.

Trading Options

You are allowed to trade forex pairs, indices, metals, oil, and cryptocurrencies. Please do not trade anything outside of this list. If you do trade an instrument outside of this list, your account will not be eligible to receive a payout.

Losses

As this is a simulated account, you are not responsible (nor is there a penalty) for any losses.

Login Details

Please allow up to 24 hours for your account details to be sent. You are not to change your login details on your trading account for any reason. Should you change your password or any other details, it will result in immediate termination of your trading account.

If you would like to delay your start date for any reason, send an email to our support staff and we will accommodate you.

Adding Funds

You may not, at any point in time, update your account balance. This will not be tolerated under any circumstance. This will be flagged and your account with us will be suspended.

EAs & Bots

Funding Talent relies on the diversification of risk in order to ensure the company is not overexposed. For this reason, Funding Talent restricts the usage of Expert Advisors (EA) and trade copying software. If a trader does intend to use an EA/bot, it must be based on the traders own strategy or copy trades from the traders own account, and no other. Otherwise, using EAs or bots will result in account suspension.

Members are only permitted to use expert advisors or bots on the demo account if:

1.) The EA does not copy another traders strategy. This is to ensure we maintain diversification and hedge our risk. We monitor at all times for this.

2.) The EA must place trades according to live market conditions.

3.) The EA was developed to help with risk management, trade placement, or created based on one’s own strategy.

Traders must also trade according to real market conditions. Any trades that take advantage of demo account conditions using trade arbitrage or other disallowed practices are prohibited. You can read more about real market conditions here.

Funded Earnings

Funded Earnings are used to access your Elite account. They are a store of funds that build up after each trading month using the profit that was made on the account during that trading month. You can contribute up to 5% of your profit to your Elite account at the end of each trading month. The amount that will be contributed to your Funded Earnings is calculated using the balance of your account at 23:59:59 of the day prior to the Talent Bonus 2 date (end of your trading month).

Once your Funded Earnings have accumulated to the required level, you will have the option to access your Elite account. The required amount of Funded Earnings needed to access your Elite account varies with the size of the account that you are trading.

The table below outlines the required amount of Funded Earnings needed to access your Elite account when trading a Flex Classic account.

If you happen to violate a max loss rule while trading your Flex Classic account, your Funded Earnings will remain the same and will not reset to zero.

Please note all trades must be closed by 23:59:59 on the day prior to your Talent Bonus 2 date according to your broker’s timezone.

Elite Account Withdrawal

Members must have their Elite account active for 14 days prior to receiving their first Elite withdrawal. This rule only applies to new Elite Members on their first payout and there will be no impact on any subsequent payouts.

We kindly ask that you make your request within 48 hours of the Elite withdrawal date (1st or the 15th). If you are requesting a withdrawal for the 1st, we ask that you send us your request on the 29/30 or 30/31st. You can make your request up until 23:59:59 EST on the 30/31st.

If you are requesting a withdrawal for the 15th, we ask that you send us your request on the 13/14th. You can make your request up until 23:59:59 EST on the 14th. Requests that come in on or after the 1st/15th will be denied.

Please allow 24-48 hours for us to process your payment. We will deduct our profit split at this time.

Scaling Plan

The requirements to be eligible for the scaling plan are as follows:

  • You must trade for at least 3 months on your elite account
  • You must be profitable for 2 out of those 3 months
  • You must have a minimum of 3% growth on at least 2 months out of those 3 months

If you meet all of these conditions, 25% of your total account balance will be added to your elite account.

There is NO cap on the maximum amount contributed to your elite account through the scaling plan.

You can continue to take advantage of the scaling plan if you continue to meet the requirements.

Also please make note to state that this plan is only applicable if you do not violate the account.

For more information you can visit the Scaling Plan information page here.

Flex Aggressive Model

Understanding the rules that apply to Flex Aggressive accounts.

Number of Trading Days

Trading days do not need to be consecutive and there is no maximum amount of trades, as long as you do not exceed your risk. If the 10 day trading minimum is not met you will not be dispersed any profits at the end of your trading cycle and your account will also be reset to the starting balance. Risk management is of the upmost importance.

You will have an allowed max daily loss (drawdown) of 10% and no max overall loss (drawdown) on the Flex Aggressive account. When calculating drawdown, we include all floating losses and profits. All of your drawdown parameters are fixed, meaning they do not change everyday.

This means that if you are on a Flex Aggressive Model 100K account, your 10% daily max loss will start at $10,000 every day at 12:00am in the time zone of your broker. If you increase the account balance to 110K in a single day, your daily max loss for that specific day will be increased to $20,000. ($10,000 DD + $10,000 profit), once we reach 12:00am in the time zone of your broker this will reset back to $10,000 regardless of account balance.

Any positions with floating draw down held over the change of day in the time zone of your broker will be carried into the next trading day

Below is a table of the available account sizes and their corresponding daily max loss parameters:

If your daily max loss limit is exceeded, your account will become inactive and your trading month will end. You will still be eligible for the leaderboard for your respective block.

Any violation of the drawdown parameters on the Elite account will result in ineligibility for further withdrawals.

There are no consistency parameters when trading a Flex Aggressive account.

Trading Behaviour

Trading Styles

There are no trading style parameters when trading a Flex Aggressive account, as long as you are trading according to live market conditions.

Talent Bonus (Payout)

Flex Aggressive Elite Account (Profit Split & Broker)

The Flex Aggressive Elite account offers a profit split of 90/10 in your favour.  All Funding Talent Elite accounts will be set up with the Funding Talent Demo server.

Also please make note to state that this plan is only applicable if you do not violate the account.

Challenge Model

Understanding the rules that apply to Challenge accounts.

Number of Trading Days

Phase 1 of the Challenge is 30 days in length and Phase 2 of the Challenge is 60 days in length. There is no minimum number of days that you must trade for either phase of the Challenge. In order to pass each phase, the profit target must be met within the duration of the respective phase you are on.

Drawdown Parameters

Risk management is of the upmost importance.

You will have an allowed max daily loss (drawdown) of 5% and an allowed max overall loss (drawdown) of 10%. When calculating drawdown, we include all floating losses and profits. All of your max loss parameters are fixed, meaning they do not change everyday.

This means that if you are on a Challenge Model 100K account with a 5% daily max loss, this will start at $5,000 every day at 12:00am in the time zone of your broker. If you increase the account balance to 105K in a single day, your daily max loss for that specific day will be increased to $10,000. ($5,000 DD + $5,000 profit), once we reach 12:00am in the time zone of your broker this will reset back to $5,000 regardless of account balance.

Any positions with floating draw down held over the change of day in the time zone of your broker will be carried into the next trading day

Below is a table of the available account sizes and their corresponding daily max loss and overall max loss parameters:

Any violation of the max loss parameters on our Elite account will result in ineligibility for a withdrawal.

Resetting the Challenge

There are no reset fees for the Funding Talent Challenge account. Any reset fee paid will automatically move you to the Funding Talent Flex Classic or Aggressive account. To retry the Challenge after a drawdown violation, a new one will have to be purchased again at full price.

Profit Target

Each phase of the Challenge consists of a profit target that must be achieved in order to advance to the next phase. In Phase 1, there is an 8% profit target that must be met to advance to Phase 2 and in Phase 2 there is a 4% profit target that must be met in order to obtain an Elite account.

All trades must be closed in order to complete either phase of the Challenge, meaning that your balance and equity must be equal.

Profit target percentages are based on the account size you are trading on.

Trading Styles

You are allowed to use a mixture of scalping trades, swing trades, etc. There are no rules on trading styles, as long as you are trading according to live market conditions.

Trading Options

You are allowed to trade forex pairs, indices, metals, oils, and cryptocurrencies. Please do not trade anything outside of this list. If you do trade an instrument outside of this list, your account will not be eligible to pass the Challenge.

Traders must also trade according to real market conditions. Any trades that take advantage of demo account conditions using trade arbitrage or other disallowed practices are prohibited. You can read more about real market conditions here.

Trading Flex and Challenge Accounts

Funding Talent members who are presently trading a Flex account (subscription based model) may choose to partake in the Funding Talent Challenge as well.

Members can continue to trade and receive payouts on this model, even after successfully completing the Challenge. However, if the resultant Elite account reaches the maximum of 300k in  Elite Capital, the Flex account will need to be put on hold.

Profit Target Not Achieved

If you finish either phase of the Challenge but do not reach the profit target, do not experience a drawdown violation and were not profitable, then you will have a one time opportunity to switch to a Flex account at no cost.

Profitable But Did Not Achieve Profit Target

If you finish either phase of the Challenge but do not reach the profit target, do not experience a drawdown violation and were profitable, then you will be able to retry the Challenge over from Phase 1 for free. There is no limit to this free retry, as long as your account satisfies the above conditions at the end of either Phase 1 or 2.

In the conditions outlined above, you may instead choose to switch to a Flex account at no cost, but this can only be done once.

The important thing to note here is that you can not retry the Challenge for free if your account was not in profit at the end of your phase.

Refundable Fee

After successful completion of both phases of the Funding Talent Challenge, the sign up fee will be refunded upon the first withdrawal that you receive.

If a drawdown violation occurs on the Elite account before the first withdrawal, you will no longer be eligible for the refund.

Switching Models

Should you choose to switch to the Flex model if unsuccessful with the Challenge, you will receive new login details for your Flex account. For example, if you purchased the $25K Challenge, you will receive a $25K Flex account OR if you purchased the $100K Challenge, you will receive a $100K Flex account.

Funding Talent will allow up to $300K in capital per member per model. If you are already trading $300K in capital on a Flex account and participate in the Challenge, you cannot transfer any capital over.

Challenge Elite Account (Profit Split & Broker)

The Challenge Elite account offers a profit split of 80/20 in your favour. All Funding Talent Elite accounts will be set up with the Funding Talent Demo server.
